History

In 1925, when Richard and Laurine Kimmel planted their first apple and cherry trees in the rolling hills north
of Nebraska City, they built upon a legacy of education and research that began in this historic home of Arbor Day.

Kimmel Foundation

The Kimmel Foundation is dedicated to the enhancement of the quality of life in Nebraska. Through its financial
support of philanthropic organizations, it contributes to the ongoing mission reflected in the aspirations of
Richard and Laurine Kimmel.
