Fruits

Apples

Apples have been grown at Kimmel Orchard for nearly 80 years, and today the orchard produces a wide selection of apples that appeal to a variety of tastes and needs.

Cherries

One of the biggest cherry orchards in the tri-state area (Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri), Kimmel Orchard is renown for its pleasingly tart Montmorency variety, particularly prized for pie baking.

Grapes

Vineyards are not new to Nebraska or to the Missouri Valley. Grapes harvested at Kimmel are available both for the table and for Kimmel's own wine label.

Raspberries

The Heritage variety of raspberries grown at Kimmel Orchard are harvested from July to late August.

Asian Pears

Those familiar with Asian Asian Pears usually have a napkin ready when they bite into this very juicy, sweet fruit. Unlike its softer, mellower European counterpart, an Asian pear is crisp, with a hint of tartness near its core.

Peaches

Tree ripened for freshness, Kimmel's peach selections provide a juicy treat for visitors between the busy cherry and apple seasons. Varieties at Kimmel include Red Haven, Crest Haven and Loring.
